You have just two weeks to go until your vacation, and you have so much to do! There are the passports to make sure are in date, the hotel to check out, the weather to look at, the suntan lotion to buy – a million and one things that you have to get ready. It is almost so stressful that it is not worth taking a holiday for! That is why when you start to finish up all of those little odd jobs you should start to put some time aside for you – with a little detox. It will get you perfectly ready for your vacation, and you may even find that you start doing it more often to treat yourself! So where do you even start?
Well, first of all you need to get rid of all of those horrible toxins out of your body – there is no way that you are going to be able to relax if your body is straining to keep itself healthy. As we get older, the build up of chemicals and pollutants inside us start to really play havoc with our bodies natural rhythms. The trouble is that there is only so much that our liver and kidneys are able to remove through their natural methods, and that means that your body could do with a little helping hand. Try out some detoxification patches that you pop on your feet; they work as you sleep, so when you peel them off in the morning you will be able to see all of the horrendous junk that has been pulled completely naturally out of your body! You will feel so much better now that your body has been detoxed, and you may find that using them once a month helps your body to keep on top of those horrible toxins.
Secondly, you need to start to think about hydration. It is so vital that you drink enough water, but almost none of us do, and that can have a real impact on the way that we are able to deal with stressful situations. Whether it is long queues at the airport, not being able to understand the map to the hotel, or your luggage not turning up quite as expected, you can experience a whole range of stressful things when you are on vacation, so ensure that you are drinking at least two liters of water a day to maximize the way that your body is able to work. Just make sure that you do not drink too much water, or you will be needing to go to the bathroom every five minutes! Listen to your body, and when you feel as though it is enough, you know that it is enough.
Thirdly, grab the sun cream. The last thing that you want to happen is return home with burnt skin and sun damage, and it will be especially bad if it gets really painful. Bad sunburn can have a long lasting effect on your overall health, so there is no point in going abroad if you are just going to get unwell afterwards! Give yourself a break, and ensure that your skin is well protected; stay out of the direct sun around midday, and try to cover up as much as possible with the strongest sun cream that you can get your hands on. We know that you want a tan, but it is much safer to go and get a fake spray tan than to get one naturally. It will probably last as long, and you will not have any of the health problems afterwards!
